She served as a licensed nursing home administrator for 13 years which included two years at an Alzheimer’s assisted living facility. In 2007, Robyn founded H.I.S Cornerstone with the passion to help the elderly through the development of continuing education (CEs) for healthcare professionals.

Robyn currently facilitates caregiver support groups in both facility and community settings and has developed a wide range of presentations focused on caregiver education, resilience, and spiritual encouragement. As a caregiver herself for multiple elderly family members, she has drawn deeply on her Christian faith to help herself and others navigate this sacred journey, inspiring hope and purpose along the way. Her book, Transforming the Mundane into Sacred: Spirituality in Caregiving for the Elderly, beautifully reflects that mission—reminding caregivers that even in ordinary moments, grace and meaning can be found.
Discovering the Sacred in Everyday Life
In the United States alone, there are over 41 million people who are serving in unpaid caregiver roles for an elderly relative. Taking on this role, while also balancing the various aspects of day-to-day life, can be exhausting and overwhelming. In this book, author Robyn Horn shares her experiences as both a caregiver and caregiver educator and focuses on how caregivers can find peace and purpose in what can often be a very challenging role. Transforming the Mundane into Sacred: Spirituality in Caregiving for the Elderly by Robyn Horn is an inspiring book in which the author shares her journey to finding spiritual purpose and fulfillment in caring for the elderly and their caregivers.
